Millennium Institute of Sport & Health: New Zealand's world class sports training facility.
Completed in February 2002 the $32 million Millennium Institute of Sport & Health is owned by a charitable trust and has been established to help New Zealanders excel in sport and to contribute to a healthier nation.
We cater for people of all ages and levels, from those wanting to become fitter and healthier, to children learning fundamental physical and sporting skills, through to competitive sport from entry to elite.
Our extensive facilities have been purpose built for the training and preparation of high performance athletes who have the support of on site sports medicine and science services to help them achieve international success.
We welcome visitors, including schools, businesses, sports teams and other organisations wanting to use our leading edge facilities and services, either on a day to day basis or for longer periods staying in the Millenium Lodge, our on site accommodation.
While we focus on helping people reach their sporting and health and fitness goals, we are passionate about success for New Zealand - be it sporting, social or economic. We believe a fitter, healthier nation will also be a more prosperous nation. Sport teaches us that people perform better when they are fit and healthy and are enjoying what they do this applies whether it is on the field or court, or in the classroom, office, factory or recreation setting.
Sports Clubs
The Millennium Institute of Sport & Health is committed to strengthening sport at all levels from grass roots participation through to high performance.
The four clubs that helped establish the Institute are:

- North Shore Swimming Club
- North Harbour Water Polo
- North Sport Weightlifting

CLICK HEREEach club is a national leader in its respective code. Together they have over 1600 members, supported by paid and volunteer coaches and administrators, all based at the Millennium Institute of Sport & Health.
Each sport has memberships covering their respective codes' competitive or recreational offerings. Membership entitles the athlete to use of the Institutes facilities, as prescribed.
