High Performance Water Polo Programme

 

The Water Polo High Performance program supports the development of the North Harbour Water Polo club's senior New Zealand representatives. The Institute provides free facility access, a MISH HP squad uniform, access to travel funding and work opportunities at the Institute to this group. Entry to the squad is by representing New Zealand in an senior water polo team.
 

Coaches

 

Davor Carevic - NZ Senior Mens coach, North Harbour                               Senior Mens coach

 

Educated at the University of Split, Croatia (Faculty of Natural Sciences), in mathematics and teaching, Davor has a Bachelor of Physical Education degree and also studied at the College of Biology and Chemistry. He is a qualified laboratory technician and has 16 years experience as an international Water Polo coach both in New Zealand and abroad.

 

Davor has coached many national and international teams including the Senior Mens National League and Club Champions, the U20 Mens Club National Champions, the U18 Girls Pan Pacific Champions, the U20 Mens Pan Pacific Champions and the Senior Women’s Club National Champions.

 

He was awarded the 2002 New Zealand Water Polo Coach of the Year award and received the BNZ Badge of Gold Award for outstanding contribution to New Zealand sport.
